The Heartbreak



My heart hurts

I treated you like diamonds

You treated me like dirt

Your indifference is the biggest cruelty

You know she doesn't love you

You are just a part of her entourage

One day she'll add fresh meat

And you won't make the cut

I will have scar tissue then

And I will look the other way

And I won't need you anymore

Selective Vision

How could I have been so obsessed with you to the point that I didn't even see it coming?

How could I have assumed you wouldn't wander off the minute I turned my back?

Oh yes there were clues, but then aren't there always?

It is only human to have selective vision.

To only see what I wanted to see.
